Supply List

  1. Toys or figurines – Depending on who/what you are creating a shrine to you’ll probably need some sort of character. Doll parts, action figures all come in handy

  2. Variety of other found objects that might be interesting form for the characters. Items like perper grinders, costume jewelry, watch parts, gears, typewriter parts…. just about anything, really.

  4. Paint Brushes (a couple small detail brushes, and some cheap bristle brushes (1/2 inch to 1 inch in size)

  5. Wire a couple of different gauges (preferably rebar tie wire - found in the masonry dept of hardware store)

  6. Basic Tools…pliers, scissors,

8. Adhesives.

  • Dap Kwik Seal for kitchen and bath -White. Should say paintable or water base acrylic or latex.

  • E6000

  • Wood Glue

9. Cheesecloth, canvas, and bits of fabric.

10. FOR THE STORY PANELS: each one of these are the scenes from your story. You could have as many of these as you want. No size limitation but remember if you are working larger than 8”x10”, you might want to have less panels for size constraints. But that’s up to you.

  • Options:

    • Frames with backs

    • Wood boards cut to the size of a book cover. I recommend something not thicker than 1” or the pieces will get really heavy. Ideally something between 1 inch to 1/4 inch in depth.

    • If you want to work teeny tiny…coasters might be an option

    • MDF board

      • OR book cover( could also be cigar boxes).

11. FOR THE BANNER: This is the piece of wood (or whatever) that your panels will hang from.

  • Options:

    • A piece of fence board ie 1”x4”x whatever length you need to dangle all you panels from

      • Home Depot will cut wood down to whatever size you need.

    • Craft plaques - you know the long piece of wood with a saying on it

    • Mantle clock - these are great because they are flat on the bottom so easy to hang things from.

    • Mantle Shelf

    • Anything really it just needs to be long enough to support the various panels

12. Small chain, rope or twine - this is to hang your panels

13. Eye screws - to attach the the rope or twine

14. Optional Tools

  1. Heat gun

  2. Dremel with cut off wheel and engraving bit

  3. Drill

15. Easy Mold Silicone Putty - any brand will do, but this is a two part putty that you mix together so you can make a mold.
