The WorkshopMasks aren’t just for Halloween or creeping out your neighbors. They’re magical — transformational. Throughout human history, across nearly every culture and corner of the world, masks have served as instruments of change… both externally and internally.

If you’ve ever put on a mask or costume and felt something shift inside you — something bold, something mischievous, something other — you’ve felt that old magic at work. Masks let the wearer slip into another form, another mindset… another creature’s skin, or another deity’s glowing eye sockets. They’re portals with straps.

Now, while some of the masks we create might technically be wearable, the main focus here is on sculpting expressive, display-ready pieces — mask-entities meant to hang on walls, hover in shadowboxes, or preside ominously over your studio. But hey… if yours ends up wearable and you start causing a ruckus at a local opera house, I’m not taking responsibility.

In this workshop, we’ll explore that sense of transformation through a little artistic alchemy. Using assemblage, we’ll turn humble objects — scraps, broken bits, forgotten widgets, and strange little treasures — into mythic personae. We’re not just making masks… we’re summoning gods, monsters, and everything in between.
